Instructions & Templates
Every BAP starts here. Before anything goes to a vote, it needs to be discussed, challenged, and refined by the community.
To open a discussion, create a new topic in this category and follow the template that matches your BAP type.
Give the community enough time to review and respond. The strongest BAPs are the ones that have been pressure-tested through open discussion – actively seeking feedback and incorporating it meaningfully increases your chances of passing a vote.
Discussion Templates
Use these templates when opening a discussion thread on this forum:
- Discussion Template: Spending BAP
- Discussion Template: Technical BAP
- Discussion Template: Governance & Structural BAP
These templates are to be copy-pasted under Discussion for BAPs as a new topic with necessary information added in the blanks.
Before Moving to a Vote
Before moving a discussion to a formal BAP for voting on gov.gobob.xyz, the BAP author must post a pinned comment on their discussion thread summarising:
- The key feedback received during discussion.
- Any changes made to the BAP as a result.
- Any feedback that was considered but not incorporated, and why.
- This step is mandatory. It ensures the community’s input is visible and traceable before a formal vote begins.
BAP Templates (for submission on BOB voting)
Once the discussion process is finished and when you’re ready to submit a formal BAP on gov.gobob.xyz, use the template that matches your BAP type:
These templates are to be copied, filled in with necessary information and then pasted on the BOB governance forum under “new proposal”.
